Saturday 23 April 2023 is a day that will live long in the memory for the people and fans of Wrexham.
Finally, after 15 years in the non-league wilderness and more heartbreak than a Hollywood scriptwriter would consider reasonable, a 3-1 home win over Boreham Wood ensured the club were back in the Football League.
To mark the occasion we sent our photographer to North Wales, and this is the visual story of that incredible day.
From the nerve-dispelling pre-game get-togethers, the march to the ground, Lee Ndlovu’s first minute opener for the opposition, Elliot Lee’s crucial equaliser and Paul Mullin’s brace, all the way through to a promotion party that ran long into the Welsh night – here are the moments and the emotion that are the real Glory of football.
